I honestly cannot believe that this marks the fourth week that ‘The Misfits’ has been available for people to read even in part. It’s a surreal feeling. The Misfits is not my first publication, but it the one that at this point in my life is closest to my heart. As I continue to write it, I have come to realize how much of a time capsule this story will become. This story, it’s characters show such a clear picture of who I was and who I have become these past several years. Every main character I have ever created holds a piece of me in them but these four: Aether, Ex-Machina, Greyhound, and Visionary more so than most of the others. I hope and pray they have left a powerful impression on you so far, and if you continue to read, I pray they will even more so. Their story shifts and they as characters grow in ways even I didn’t see coming. and their story truly is just beginning.
Anyhoo! This week, episodes eleven and twelve were released. These are the first two episodes that are not free to read. The way Kindle Vella does it, the first ten episodes are free, and then every episode after that costs 10 tokens to unlock.
kindle sells tokens in bundles of 100, 300, 900, and 2,000 respectively. prices can be seen in the screenshot below.
Act one of the misfits will end at episode 14. So if you want to read the last four episodes of Act 1, you would only need to purchase the 100 coins for 99 cents (+ tax probably)
Once episode 14 releases on August 14th, I will stop posting updates until the kindle Vellys competition window closes on the 20th so only an entire act will be counted toward the competition not all of act one and only part of act two.
Once the competition closes…I’m not quite certain just yet what I should do with the rest of the story.
I know one day Lord willing I will publish the whole book in a fully bound printed and ebook format, but whether the Lord wants me to continue releasing it as a kindle vella story as well is something I’ve been praying about and I plan to continue to pray about as this month progresses. And I ask that if you be willing, for you to pray about this alongside me as well. The prayer of the Saints is a powerful thing, and I want to do this right.
Along with publishing episodes 11 and 12, I have also already scheduled episodes 13 and 14 to release on August 7th and 14th respectively. Even just writing that makes it all the more real.
I have also made strives in my other publications for my fantasy franchise which will hopefully have some exciting updates coming soon for that too.
