That last part is not bureaucracy. It is care. Registration means the team knows how many counsellors to have available, that you are matched appropriately, and that you are seen properly rather than caught in a corridor for four rushed minutes at the end of a long night.
Some matters cannot be shouted about in a full auditorium. A marriage in trouble. A child in crisis. A decision you have carried alone for two years. An addiction nobody in your church knows about. A grief that has not moved.
