Having researched this in detail for the past 5 years (or so) and having testified for over 5 hours at the main hearing, I can say with 110% certainty that both the Sunset Clause and the buffers were intentionally put into the original Triangle Quarry Mining Permit and they were meant to be permanent. Thank you, Jesus, for giving all of those who have been fighting this battle, especially the Umstead Coalition and their attorneys, the strength to persevere. It surely has not been easy! There are still more battles, but this is a really good step forward.
