I wake up to check Instagram (Meta) and maybe watch a YouTube video (Google).

I start work on my laptop (Apple), browsing email (Google).

At lunchtime, I’ll check the news using my phone (Apple) and my Chrome Browser (Google).

My employer will ask me to generate some copy using OpenAI (Microsoft).

In the evening, I’ll watch Netflix. I might buy something I need on Amazon.

If I go out, I’ll use Google Maps, maybe listen to Spotify or Audible (Amazon) on the way.

Throughout the day, I’ll message my friends on WhatsApp (Meta) and consult my Google Calendar.

If everyone’s daily life is filtered through such a small number of businesses, that gives them immense power.

It makes all creators work for free, generating content for these platforms.

It’s not free market capitalism; it’s oligopoly.

It’s the consolidation of the world’s resources into the hands of the few.

In a world of widening inequality, where salaries no longer provide for what people need.

It seems like it might be a problem.
