I follow a trail of breadcrumbs, picking up words and phrases and letting the sounds mingle with my breath, hovering inside the round vowels, enjoying the staccato of consonants rolling through my teeth and lips, and I watch them form all things remembered and imagined, forgotten, maybe, the footprint I admired on a beach I tried to hold before the wind melted even the sand castles… every word a multitude of memories, pouring tea into a cup… the cup my friend found for me at a second hand store, many decades ago… the cups my father bought for us when we moved in to this house… how I dropped two of them after he died… my life is so tremendous I cannot find the edges… and I am this longing to share this wonderment of infinitude, of ungrasp-ability, where inside and outside merge and dissolve… where echoes dance and sing, where a hint of reflection blossoms into the vault of sky beyond reasoning beyond imagining, where the utter majesty of our aliveness floods ideas of time and timelessness, meaning and meaninglessness, where this awe supersedes whatever seems to be happening… and I look into the vault of sky and know there is no edge no boundary no limit no line where I begin or end…
.
And the birdsong flows into evening… and the night… hovers… inside my breath… inside my mouth inside my blood… it is my breath my mouth my blood my heartbeat my song this song these words that
Float
Into darkness…
