From Sarai to Katri, Mitzi to Mabli, Jasmi to Tesni, I love names ending in -i. There’s just something so visually appealing about them to me, with their stripped back and lightly playful look — and this lovely Finnish option is no exception.
Pronounced SOO-vee, fans of Summer and Sunny may find this equally bright option intriguing, derived as it is from the Finnish word for the warmer season. It could fit easily into the “travelling lite” category too — that is names which are short and sparky, and travel well around the globe.
While it is used as a full name in Finland, if you find it too nickname-y, how about Sunniva with the nickname Suvi instead?
