In my last post, I started talking about the video for Aurora. It’s a 20-second, self-initiated video that took me longer than the MTV ad — four months. For MTV, I utilized motion capture, and the entire process, from concept to final, took approximately three weeks.
The reason I’m posting a project description from 2024 here is that I feel bad deleting all these uncool explanations, because a sales case should look like this.
In the last post, I finished on the topic of assets - I continue
I hid a little Buddha under the clouds, from whose ear a DNA snake will fly out, which was previously Aurora’s cage.
And now it will turn into a flower.
And this is a knight engaged in artificial pollination.
On the back of his armor is also the face of a small Buddha, and the face changes depending on the knight’s hand movements because it is attached to his rig.
The pollinator sword resembles a Caduceus (a messenger’s staff) with two snake-like tubes through which the pearl seed will roll into a heart-shaped flower.
And here is our beauty revealed to the eye after 30 iterations of simulating the expansion of the heart lobes under the weight of the enlarged pearl seeds within them.
After waking up, the beautiful Aurora develops a helmet on her head (she’s strong). The helmet is similar in shape to the Knight’s (but this design involves animation of its appearance). So perhaps she will become her own pollinator farmer — she will rule her own world, entering a meta-position. What a happy ending!
I got incredible pleasure from this work - poring over technical details and painstaking animation saved me during my three-month stay at home in Ukraine. If not for this, I would have returned even more traumatized by the long separation from my husband and dog.
