My Last Word on Geoffrey Stroud

Several days ago I sent a letter of apology to ALL of my subscribers (you). I stand by that apology. It was sincere then and it’s sincere now. (Tudor called it fake)

After a lot of prayer, this is my last entry on Mr. Stroud.

Not because of anything he said. Not because of Mr. Tudor Alexander. Nobody talked me out of anything.

This whole time my beef with Mr. Stroud has been his lying about the word of God. That’s the only thing I ever put on the table. Chapter, verse, claim, text.

What I failed to notice, and I mean failed, is that every reply coming back was a personal attack on me and a defense of his own little heart. Not the doctrine. Me.

Michelle saw it before I did. She looked at it and said he’s doing nothing but attacking you personally. She was right. Then he sent a letter to my wife to make his point.

Same with Mr. Alexander. Name-calling. Personal shots. Amazing to watch, and not one straight answer about the text.

A man who can defend his doctrine defends his doctrine. A man who can’t defends himself.

A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Titus 3:10-11

I’ve given the first admonition. I’ve given the second. I’ve given a lot more than two. Scripture tells me when to stop.

There’s a mentor recommendation from Dr. Stephen Phinney posted on Mr. Stroud’s site.

Dr. Phinney told me directly (Via E-Mail) that he has nothing to do with Mr. Stroud.

That recommendation is on the page anyway. It’s been sitting there lending Mr. Stroud credibility he was never given.

Dr. Phinney is a good man, and he didn’t ask to be pulled into any of this. That’s the kind of thing Mr. Stroud will do, and it tells you how far he’ll go.

Everything I’ve published on Mr. Stroud and Mr. Alexander stays up. Every article, every quote, every citation, every verse. Dated, sourced, checkable.

Both men are false teachers. I stand by that.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Matthew 7:15-16

What they teach shreds the plain reading of Genesis. It shreds the doctrine of the church. It takes the promises God made to the Hebrew people and hands them somewhere else. It hurts God’s people. It hurts the Hebrew people. It hurts you and me and everybody else who just wants to read their Bible and understand it.

These lies come from the pit. The father of lies is behind them, and any man carrying them is doing the devil’s work whether he knows it or not.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:44

That’s why I wrote what I wrote. Not to win. To warn.

I’m not trading personal shots. I did some of that and I was wrong to. That’s what the apology was for.

I’m also not going to keep bringing a verse and getting back an insult. There’s nothing in it for anybody, and Scripture doesn’t say I have to keep at it until the other man agrees.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Romans 12:19

There is nothing I can do that God won’t outdo. He’ll handle what needs handling, and He’ll do it better than I ever could. My job was to put the truth in front of you. That’s done.

The record speaks for itself now. Theirs and mine both. Go read both. Take a Bible with you.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Acts 17:11

Don’t take my word for it. Search the scriptures and see whether those things are so. That goes for Mr. Stroud, for Mr. Alexander, for your pastor, and for me. Especially for me.

If either man ever wants to sit down with the text and go verse by verse, publicly, no name-calling either direction, I’ll be there. I’ll publish the whole exchange unedited whether it makes me look good or not.
