Boooooooring....

Hi!

It’s been a boring couple of weeks. Well, boring as in nothing fun to do, not nothing to do. Have lots to do as a matter of fact - have to create a retirement savings analyser for my Python class, design a whole bunch of logic gates for the microprocessor class, et al. Honestly these aren’t too boring, but it gets repetitive after a while since all you’re doing is just sitting somewhere and typing it all out. So, I’ve been thinking of fun stuff to do rather than sit in front of a glowing rectangle and press buttons.

One of the first ideas that came to me was photography (obviously). I’ve always been a bit worried about taking my camera outside to shoot street photography. The lens I have is a bit too big and without a smaller lens, will be unwieldy for the streets as well. Plus I’ve never been a big fan of confrontation, and street photography with a proper camera can cause unnecessary confrontations sometimes, which I’d rather avoid wholly. But what if I could just use my phone? It’s small, discreet, and the camera is absolutely wonderful. It’s perfect for street photography.

And so, I’ve been on a light street photography spree. Trying to find interesting things during my daily walk to and from classes. It’s fun enough and it gives me a chance to just tune out everything around me as I try to find a good frame or composition.

On other fronts, I seriously need to read faster and/or more consistently. Been even lazier about reading now that classes are going on.

Anyway, that’s about it for this issue. Pretty short, considering that I skipped last week. But then again, I have a boring life, so not too much to write. Alright then, I’m signing off. Thank you for your time! See you soon!
