Not that I didn’t know this before - but something that has really been reemphasised to me this summer is that if you have good ingredients - most of the hard work is done for you…
We took a trip down to London last week and ate at Canteen in Notting Hill - and I must say… it was one of my favourite meals I have had this year…
It wasn’t very new flavour combinations but it was incredibly fresh ingredients, incredibly good quality ingredients mixed with of course, incredible chefs!
This sandwich was inspired by exactly that - well known flavours with the best quality ingredients I can afford. Rare steak, juicy in-season tomatoes, texture from the whole grain mustard mayo and crisp, freshly baked bread.
you really just can’t beat it.
