I did it this week while I made breakfast, and I am going to walk you through the exact steps so you can run your own idea the same way.

I own the domain giftsforblackchildren.com. It has been parked on GoDaddy for years doing absolutely nothing, which is a very expensive way to own a good idea (are you guilty of this)?

The plan was simple. Turn it into a thoughtful gift directory. Someone looking for a meaningful present for their kid, niece, or grandchild lands on a curated list of genuinely good gifts. The business earns two ways: affiliate links through Amazon Associates and ShopMy, and a paid digital gift guide sold through Stripe.

My AI agents and my tool logins were already set up in advance. GoDaddy, Stripe, Amazon, ShopMy, my email platform, all signed in and ready..

The tools in play for this build:

  • Claude Code, with the model set to Fable

  • GitHub for version control

  • Vercel for hosting and deploy

  • Stripe for payments and the paid product

  • Amazon Associates and ShopMy for affiliates

  • ActiveCampaign for email

  • Claude Design at claude.ai/design to fix the look

Here is the whole trick. Inside Claude Code, I used the /goal command and gave it a single, well-built goal. Then I got out of the way.

This is the prompt, cleaned up so you can copy the shape of it:

/goal Build a digital business that makes 10K a month for a website I own, giftsforblackchildren.com. Have my ShopMy and Amazon affiliate accounts signed in, or use digital products on Stripe, whatever you think is best. People are searching for thoughtful gifts for their children and grandchildren. Not every gift has to be a Black-owned product, but if it is not, it should be best in class. For example, If You Give a Moose a Muffin is a classic that could be suggested, or a Brio train set. I own the domain and it is on GoDaddy where I am also signed in.

These frontier models have gotten SO good, and you’re probably not really pushing the limits of their advanced thinking. A strong goal prompt has five parts:

  1. The outcome. A digital business that makes 10K a month. Concrete, not “help me build a website.”

  2. The money mechanism. Affiliate accounts or Stripe digital products, and permission to pick. You are naming how it earns.

  3. The audience and their intent. People searching for thoughtful gifts for children and grandchildren. Who they are and what they are trying to do.

  4. The taste and quality bar, with examples. Best in class if it is not Black-owned. If You Give a Moose a Muffin. A Brio train set. Real examples teach the agent your standard better than any adjective.

  5. What it already has access to. The domain, the logins, where things live. So it can act instead of ask.

Give it “build me a site” and you get a template to work off of.

Automode is a great way to ship faster (The shortcut is shift and tab). In auto mode the agent runs continuously and only stops when it hits something it needs my permission for or a guardrail that I have set (like dont make payments on my behalf).

Here are my standing rules:

  • Anything touching payments needs my explicit approval.

  • Anything touching GoDaddy and the domain needs my explicit approval.

  • Pushing a site live to production needs my explicit approval.

While this ran, I was making eggs for kiddos and doing the morning Nanny transfer.

In this model I am the orchestrator and the decision-maker but im not the executor. The agent is the one doing autonomous execution. Lowkey, I could have used the remote control features and done 90% of this from my phone. And thats a shift I want for each of you reading this. To go from attached to your computers to being able to have more meals with family, sitting in the carpool line still having your agents working remotely.

  • 25 gift guides on the homepage

  • An ActiveCampaign list and a custom tag, created and connected

  • Stripe connected for the paid product

  • Affiliate tracking links pulled from both Amazon and ShopMy

  • Disclosures and structured data in place

  • An email popup for list building

  • A paid product built and deployed

  • The repo ready for version control

Run your own idea from shelf to live. Do this in order:

  1. Pick dormant asset: A domain you own, a concept you keep meaning to build. Something real.

  2. Get your logins ready first. Payments, domain, affiliates, email. Signed in before you start. This is what makes the agent fast.

  3. Write a five-part goal. Outcome, money mechanism, audience and intent, taste with real examples, and what it already has access to.

  4. Run /goal in Claude Code, then answer its questions honestly. Those answers are your strategy.

  5. Decide your boundaries out loud. Anything touching money or going live requires your explicit approval. Then turn on auto mode with shift and tab.

  6. Go do something else for a bit. You are the decision-maker, not the typist.

  7. QA for taste and for truth. Fix the generic look, check the images, verify every factual claim before anything publishes.

  8. Elevate the design in Claude Design with a full-page screenshot and a best-in-class reference.

The most valuable AI skill right now is not prompting. It is knowing which decisions are yours to make and which ones to hand off.
