Two weeks ago, it was Berlin Fashion Week. And after more than ten years of doing this, the nerves, the excitement and, thankfully, most of the insecurity have pretty much disappeared. I know what to expect. I know how these days work. I know that not every show is going to change my life.
But there was one appointment in my calendar I was genuinely excited about: the 15-year anniversary show of Berlin designer Malaikaraiss. And as you already know from my last newsletter, I absolutely loved her SS27 collection. The wearability. The very good 90s references. How feminine it felt without being overly sweet. The variety of silhouettes. But – and now we finally get to the point of this entire newsletter, which I am basically only writing because of Malaika – the colour combinations. I wanted to wear everything. Immediately. Preferably exactly like that.
