I’ve been thinking a lot lately about power, and who holds power in our lives. And the unsettling answer is the companies that we put our trust in every single day. These include social media companies, mobile phone providers, and broadband providers.

All these systems are designed around profit above all else, and aren’t always the most ethical. The behaviours of these companies can often feel far removed from the values many of us actually want to live by.
