So excited that today’s Substack is sponsored by Omnilux.
Writing this from a (another) blizzard!!! The thing about Minneapolis is that you will think it’s Spring and then will be hit with a foot of snow the following day. A perfect week to continue healing my back and get into my Omnilux Contour Face mask to give myself a mini Spring reset (I see 60’s on the horizon). A routine I am committed to this Spring!
I am a huge fan of red infrared light therapy- it’s gentle on the skin, non-invasive, healing, promotes healthier/younger looking skin and makes my skin feel plump and radiant. So let’s get into some (mostly cozy) outfits and red light therapy mask-ing.
The mask itself is very easy to use and it’s only 10 minutes a day, 3-5 times a week. I’ve been living in these Skims joggers and sweatshirt. The material is so soft, great for rotting and reading (and watching Summer House).
I like how I can get things done around the house in this mask- laundry, reading, making my matcha, writing my Substack etc. I am low maintenance in terms of skin treatments, I don’t get facials, lasers or botox or anything that involves a needle so this feels in my comfort zone as a 35 year old.
As for wearing, I had been eyeing these Nike track pants for a while and they do not disappoint. Aritzia cashmere is also impressive- I want every color in this zip up.
The Zara Men’s shirt has been a comfy staple this Winter. It’s a great WFH top and also looks cute under sweaters.
As my back has been healing, I’ve slowly been able to wear normal pants! I absolutely love my Era trousers. Also revealing the Zara blouse I talked about in last weeks post. It’s good!! I had to pick up this Aritzia blouse as well ( I am a sucker for the white button contrast).
This Free People top is a great going out top and comes in lots of colors. I want the black for under blazers. I have these Banana Republic flocked jeans (on sale) in black but had to pick up the brown because the texture is so cool in person. And the Banana Republic sweater reminded me of Guest in Residence.
My Mom has been loving her Omnilux Mask as well (taken as I force her to watch Summer House and Ladies of London with me). Tis the season for glowing! skin!
I finished reading Giovanni’s Room (beautiful book, he is a poet) and I am now reading Eve Babitz’s, Sex and Rage. I love her writing, I think she is wild and free and honest. I also love reading about LA in the 70’s.
I also have been loving Celisse’s nail polish in babydoll. I am a natural nail gal, I get my nails done for special occasions if that and I do like dazzle dry but gel just ruins my nails so natural it is. This color is clean and cute and lasts a long time.
Have you been watching the dinosaur documentary on Netflix narrated by Morgan Freeman?? Did you know that dinosaurs lived for 160 millions years? They were roaming Earth for 160 million years before us…we are such a small slice in time, it’s actually mind boggling. If you want to dive headfirst into an existential crisis, I highly recommend.
I’ve been slappin my bass and jammin to this song on the daily.
Has anyone else been influenced to buy the blush Margot Robbie was wearing during her press tour for Wuthering Heights? It’s the Chanel lip & cheek balm in berry boost (it’s currently sold out). Her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff posted about it on her Instagram.
This photo I found on Pinterest led me to this pillow cover from Zara home.
I am a sucker for animal print. Also, everything I have ordered from Zara Home I love.
Inspired by so many colors through amazing artists. Artist saves from top row to bottom row- first two are by Richard Diebenkorn, third by Henri Matisse. Second row- first two by David Pearce and last Carolyn Jenny Gavin.
I stopped into the new Mango this past weekend, I tend to like shopping Mango online more than in store but I did see this very cute bag that would be perfect for a wedding or special event.
I am so glad All the Empty Rooms won an Oscar.
As always, I continue to browse the internet for you (myself) and continuously add to my SP26 wishlist here.
Thanks for reading!
