Happy August everyone! I think this is one of my favorite days of the year. It makes you cherish every minute left of summer and have something new to look forward to at the same time. It’s also an excellent time for designing and selling clothes:) By mid July, everyone has summer clothes fatigue. You’re tired of the cute summer prints that delighted you in mid May but it’s way too hot to even think about a different season. The whole retail world is 80% off, and for those of us who don’t do extreme markdowns, it’s a lot of noise to compete with. All things we take into thoughtful consideration when planning our calendar. The good news is we made it through and now we have the privilege of rolling our the Pre-Fall and Fall season you’ve been dreaming of…
We have such a wearable, fun new drop that just landed on the site last night. Our Pre-Fall Kick-Off Collection is here! It’s perfect for that season when you’re excited about a new color palette and a new season…but let’s be honest. It’s still hot. Cotton is really helpful with that. It’s really, really hot here almost all of September. I know that’s the case with all of the South. We designed for that period of time when you just can’t wear blue and white anymore but an actual tweed would feel like an incinerator. I won’t even pretend we’re ready to style these pieces with boots or a blazer. That’s simply going to be too warm because they’ll deliver so FAST. A simple caramel flat will be perfect. A dear customer already mentioned she’s going to wear our newest Bonaparte Floral Gemma dress for Thanksgiving. Truthfully, that didn’t even occur to me, but it’s a very chic idea!
While it is way too warm to even think about fall styling, I have been making a little wishlist. What’s the harm in a little list, right!?

I’d personally do the above flat with Monroe and this boot with Gemma. I tried it on at the store last week, and it’s great.
My hair can get fried in the summer between sun and swim. Let’s be real, I’m not doing a lot of swimming, but it’s still in major need of moisture. I’m finally trying this hair repair mask process and I love it. There’s so much chatter because you use it in place of conditioner and don’t wash it out. Who cares!? The weirder the better in my opinion. It’s done miracles for my hair so far. I can’t recommend it enough. Try the small size to see if you like it first. You will.
I had a very chic friend over for dinner last Sunday and she gifted me this lovely candle. It smells identical to Diptyque Tuberose. Identical. I’m not one to recommend dupes but this is crazy similar. Highly recommend as I have it burning at this very moment.
