winter vaporscapes

Enjoy these grids of how the winter.24 have evolved.

I had very little time last year to paint, but I’m at a point where I like these. Resolving abstract paintings for me is a balance of push and pull, figuring things out as I go. I know the more I paint, the more I discover.

The first few layers, including background colours.

Refining the colour palette by layering, sanding, layering, sanding. I really love this middle stage! I may stick to no black in the future (?) particularly for the spring set.
