The launches and milestones, along with the surge of newcomers, higher community engagement, and growing visibility across both Web3 and biotech, made August 2025 one of the most active months yet for decentralized science.

The future of science isn’t just in labs and protocols anymore; it’s now something you can hold in your hands. The first-ever DeSci Shop has launched: a marketplace for products born directly out of decentralized science.

From innovative supplements and wellness tools to gear designed by scientists, the shop brings together creations from across the ecosystem, including VitaDAO, PsyDAO, HairDAO, ValleyDAO, and CerebrumDAO. Each product is rooted in research, backed by communities, and built to make DeSci part of everyday life.

And it’s just the beginning. New products and collaborations will be added as the movement grows, and anyone can submit their own to join the marketplace.

Explore the DeSci Shop and see how science is becoming something you can use, wear, and share.

Transfidelity, led by Dr. Scherbakov and Dr. Akbergenov at the University of Basel, has launched its IP-token $FIDEL on Molecule. The project investigates two molecules that may improve protein production efficiency and prevent protein aggregates; one of the underlying causes of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Raising 76 ETH via the Molecule Protocol, the team has already begun generating new lab data for its community of token holders. With over 50 million potential patients worldwide, $FIDEL represents an ambitious step forward in brain health research.

Project milestones will be managed on Molecule Labs and tracked transparently on the screener, marking a pivotal step for DeSci in brain health and neurodegeneration.

Explore the project and track $FIDEL.

Prima Donna, spearheaded by renowned stem cell experts and dentists Dr. Hannele Ruohola‑Baker, Dr. Julie Mathieu, and Dr. Jonathan An, has launched the first IP-token focused on enamel regeneration, $DONNA. This pioneering project uses induced pluripotent stem cells to develop enamel‑producing organoids with promising lab results that are now moving toward animal testing.

Enamel erosion affects billions worldwide, yet today’s solutions stop at repair and replacement. By bringing their work onchain through Molecule’s Protocol, the Prima Donna team is opening new avenues for advancing this breakthrough from lab to clinic. Supporters can now follow the project’s progress transparently through Molecule Labs and the screener.

Follow Prima Donna and track $DONNA.

Aubrai, co-developed by VitaDAO and BIO, is live as the world’s first decentralized AI agent for longevity research. Paul Kohlhaas introduced Aubrai at the ARDD Meeting in Copenhagen, joined by Dr. Aubrey de Grey, marking the start of a new class of BioAgents built to accelerate science at machine speed.

Built from de Grey’s lab notes and thousands of scientific papers and enriched with knowledge gathered from researchers worldwide through social media, messaging platforms, and the Aubrai chat terminal; the agent now interacts directly with users on its X account and acts as a co-scientis. Every hypothesis it generates is hashed onchain through Molecule’s Proof of Invention, moving through peer review, validation, and, if successful, into IP-NFTs and funded experiments.

Already, nearly 1,000 hypotheses have been minted onchain and have resulted in 2 IP-NFTs, making Aubrai not only the first BioAgent but also the proof that decentralized rails for research can scale in practice. And this is only the beginning, more BioAgents are on the way, with every launch traceable on Molecule!

Explore Aubrai and track hypotheses.

This September, Molecule will host a DeSci Residency Program at the Network School, founded by Balaji Srinivasan in Johor, Malaysia; a frontier community for techno-optimists, remote builders, and internet-native thinkers. Running September 22-26, the program offers an intensive DeSci 101 across five modules covering science funding, IP, governance, coordination, and how this movement is being built in practice.

Participants can attend the full program or choose the modules they want to explore:

The Residency will be led by Ella McCarthy-Page, SciComms Lead at Molecule, joined by Kishore Ramesh Kumar, Co-founder of MicrobiomeDAO and Consultant at Molecule.

On September 30th, BIO will host DeSci Singapore; one-day event will bring together researchers, founders, and innovators to explore the future of DeSci at the crossroads of AI, blockchain, and biotech.

Expect panels on AI agents in science, real-world asset frameworks, and decentralized clinical trials, alongside live demos of bio agents, IP tokenization, and DAO governance. With Molecule’s Co-Founder & CEO Paul Kohlhaas among the speakers, this will be a rare chance to connect with thought leaders shaping the next chapter of DeSci.

Register here to secure your spot.

On 12th of September, Molecule COO Ivo Betke will be speaking at ETH Tokyo, one of the leading Web3 gatherings. He’ll share how Molecule’s protocol is creating transparent rails for biotech coordination, and why DeSci is quickly becoming a frontier use case for Ethereum.

Save your tickets and join us at ETH Tokyo.

The first episode in our new Hero Story series is now live.

In this episode, Michael Torres, Co-Founder of Artan Bio, joins Alana Tara Singh to explore codon suppressor therapy, a bold new approach to aging biology. Michael shares his path from raising $400M for RNA medicines to launching $VitaRNA as a tokenized research project through VitaDAO.
