📍 Rock Hill, SC – A Journey Through Time
We kicked off March at Rock Hill Bible Fellowship, guiding their community through the story of Wycliffe—from Uncle Cam’s vision to today’s unfolding of Vision 2025. Over a shared meal, we connected with church leaders, missionaries, and faithful partners. It was a time rich in encouragement, unity, and purpose.
✈️ Dallas, TX – A Family on Mission
Next stop: Dallas! While Brandon spoke at Dallas Theological Seminary, our whole family enjoyed the journey together. Highlights included “Taste of the Nations Night”—a vibrant celebration of God’s global heart through food—and intentional time with students discerning God’s call.
Brandon had the privilege of encouraging future leaders as they explored how their graduate studies could lead to roles in Bible Translation. One of the sweetest parts? Finally meeting several of our Dallas-based partners in person for the first time—fellowship over meals, shared stories, and God-orchestrated connections we won’t forget.
Cat also had the honor of speaking at a local Perspectives class, sharing how local evangelism and global missions are intertwined in the story God is writing through Bible Translation. The response was thoughtful, encouraging, and energizing!
📝 St. Louis, MO – Global Church in Action
Mid-March, Brandon returned to the Joint Bishops Conference in St. Louis with our Church Relations team. This year’s highlight? Advocating for a translation project in Kenya through Adopt-A-Verse.
Thanks to generous match donations, 8 chapters of the Gospel of Mark were fully funded for a language community in Kenya! It was a powerful display of the American and Global Church linking arms to bring God’s Word to those still waiting.
🎓 Columbia, SC – Casting Vision at CIU
At the end of March we found ourselves back in Columbia, SC at Columbia International University’s Spring Employer Fair, speaking with students about how their skills and passions might align with Bible Translation. Seeds were planted as students explored what it could look like to serve locally or globally with Wycliffe—and we’re praying God brings the growth!
🌿 April – A Month to Breathe
After over 20 flights since January 😵💫, we hit pause in April—no travel, just deep breaths. We worked from home, soaked up family time, and focused on rest and reflection.
During Holy Week, we joined our department for a Staff Spiritual Retreat centered on John 15 and abiding in Christ. It was a rich time of worship and renewal. Then finished the week off with a Family Passover Meal and 1st Annual Family Feet Washing (see below in Family Updates)!
Oh, and Brandon’s almost done with school! He graduates in May! 🎓 (More on that in the newsletter—stay tuned!)
With all the travel, we made sure to soak in the sights and connect with amazing people along the way. Check out some of our family fun!
Sometimes God’s plan for our lives unfolds in unexpected ways. We may think our skills aren’t enough or our season of usefulness has passed. But God has a way of working through every “yes” — even when we whisper it with uncertainty.
Cecilia Legani discovered this on a journey that took her across oceans and then back home with a passion for her people to know God’s Word. Now she’s helping lead a local Bible translation effort for her childhood language in the Solomon Islands.

The Fulfulde translation project aims to make the entire Bible available in native languages, emphasizing a comprehensive understanding of the gospel through the Old Testament.
With the New Testament dedicated in 2011 and ongoing efforts in Old Testament completion and distribution via print, audio and a phone app, the team seeks to meet several goals. They want to facilitate genuine conversions, nurture mature believers and establish a robust, Scripture-rooted fellowship, which is especially crucial amid regional instability.
Joy, the wife of one of the Fulfulde Central Nigeria translators, has been completely healed after multiple strokes and vascular dementia, with full restoration of her functions and a return to her joyful, active self!
Ongoing strength and rest for Joy’s husband as he balances translation work and family responsibilities. Pray also for continued peace and stability in their home.
Good health and safety for the translation team.
The facilitator* to make steady progress on her PhD dissertation concerning this language.
Strength, healing and God’s sustaining help for the consultant —a highly trained Bible scholar responsible for ensuring the accuracy, clarity and naturalness of the translation — who is working remotely on the consultant check for Ezekiel, despite being very sick.
*Translation facilitators support the translation process by coordinating activities and providing guidance to the team.
