Introducing MILK.

Welcome to MILK. — all things motherhood.

I decided that I wanted to change things up a bit. I see my newsletters as capsules, as containers — and sometimes they evolve. All My Language initially started off as Woven Woman. And so it feels fitting that after some reflection on what I want this space to hold, Motherness didn’t quite feel like it gave me room to be as expansive as I want to. And so we shift.

MILK. is already a part of me. I started a business, Milk & Muse, in 2024. The Milk portion relates to all things motherhood (my motherhood photography, postpartum doula, and motherhood writing services). The Muse portion is a container for all of my other creative outlets and expressions (womanhood expressions, music creations, creative portraiture, and more).

The way I envision MILK. taking shape is to be a catch-all for my motherhood experience. The messy, guttural moments as much as the beautiful, awe-filled ones. I also envision this becoming more of a community space, where I will be incorporating the voices and experiences of other moms.

I’m not getting rid of Motherness completely. If you weren’t aware, after becoming a mom I began to equate motherhood to being out in the wilderness — lost, confused, and often trying to find one’s way back to what feels familiar. This is where the term motherness was birthed. Motherness — the wilderness of what we know as motherhood. The foreign territory that many women find themselves navigating, often scared and alone.

So to keep that in motion, I will be incorporating a series titled Through The Motherness where I’ll interview moms on their current season of motherhood and how they are navigating it. If you’re a mom who would like to be featured, or if you know one, please reach out!
