Join us! Let's do a SUP/kayak/canoe night on Long Lake on Thursday, August. 20 at 6pm. PARK at the boat launch at Gilbert Park (the parking is across the road from the boat launch) at 9912 North Long Lake Road, Traverse City. This is a FREE event for women!
We will be on the water by 6:15pm if our gear cooperates. We will paddle about 20 minutes out to Brush Island and then linger on the sandbar, then double back. We will do a "toast" on our boards - BYOB and snacks!
If lake conditions are unfavorable, we will reschedue. I will decide the day of by 3pm and send an email as well as post in the MiGirl group. Kayaks/canoes welcome too!
There will be no instruction nor rentals, so come prepared with own gear and able to paddle about 45-60 min. PDFs are required (on your person or on your board)! There will be no "rescue" boats so paddle at your own risk. I can not get you out of a bind, ha.

I have 1 room and 4 Dirty Dancing tickets still up for grabs!! Also, we found out that Garth Brooks is playing at the Allstate Arena that same weekend and a small group of us are forming to go on Saturday night.
Here’s more info on the trip:
💜 The hotel - Marriott’s Hotel Chicago, Autograph Collection is downtown in River North, next to the Riverwalk. We can explore the other side of downtown - and it’s within walking distance of the James Nederlander Theatre. We could carry watermelons to and from the show.
💜 The show - Dirty Dancing, the musical - Friday, Sept. 11 at 7pm. Tickets for the show are $65 and we will be seated together!
💜 The bus - I am adding a downstate pick-up/drop-off stop - maybe near Benton Harbor (TBD). For sure, we’ll be traveling via motor coach launching in Traverse City, with pick-ups at our usual spots in Cadillac and Grand Rapids along the way. We’ll have wine, games and movies on the bus — and I promise it’ll go faster for you than our bus driver (the legendary Trudy may be back!).
We leave TC at 8am on Friday, Sept. 11 and return to TC Sunday, Sept. 13 at 5pm.

Double: $695 per person
Triple: $645 per person
Quad: $595 per person
Single: $945 per person
Rates include two nights' lodging in downtown Chicago, motor coach transportation, and MiGirl swag, wine and fun along the way.
Show tickets are an optional add-on: $65 each. Dirty Dancing is Friday at 7pm.
Garth Tickets would also be an additional cost. If you buy tickets, you would need to select the Saturday 8pm show if you want to attend both DD and GB.
💜 The group - Join us! This is open to all women (no membership needed) and many women get on in TC and scoop up best friends and feral friends en route at our various pick-up spots to make a girls weekend with no worries - no bus or hotel or driving or show logistics!! You also have the entire day Saturday to explore Chicago on your own before being wrangled Sunday morning for the nap-required, movie-playing, fat-pants-only ride on the way home.
