The post is “An Upset & A Pivot” if you’d like to read it. Two members told me I wasn’t offering enough events for the membership fee - I am doing 17 events this year… I was shocked, but also felt the changes I had in mind were RIGHT for 2027.
In the MiGirl newsletter, I will share the business side of things as the changes come! For now, one of the most exciting events is the upcoming MiGirl “HRT” Luncheon on Oct. 1 at The Hagerty Center from 11am to 1pm! Tickets are available now! We had 95 women at the June luncheon - can we do it again?

I recommend the club cut and sizing UP one from your normal shirt size, fyi. The club cut is a more relaxed fit and you WILL thank me. Printing/shipping is 4-6 weeks, so these will be hitting the trails by Fall!
Join us! Let's do a SUP/kayak/canoe night on Long Lake on Thursday, August 20 at 6pm. PARK at the boat launch at Gilbert Park (the parking is across the road from the boat launch) at 9912 North Long Lake Road, Traverse City. This is a FREE event for women!
We will be on the water by 6:15pm if our gear cooperates. We will paddle about 20 minutes out to Brush Island and then linger on the sandbar, then double back. We will do a "toast" on our boards - BYOB and snacks! Kayaks/canoes welcome too!
If lake conditions are unfavorable, I will post on FB the day of by 3pm and send an email as well. There will be no instruction nor rentals, so come prepared with your own gear and able to paddle about 45-60 min. PFDs are required (on your person or on your board)! There will be no "rescue" boats so paddle at your own risk. I cannot get you out of a bind, ha.
