This week in Ask a Domme, I’ll give advice on:
How to find a femdom relationship ‘for free’
Knowing when it’s ok to dress kinky in public
How to get her to take charge without prompting
Ask a Domme is a periodic column where I accept anonymous questions about BDSM, power dynamics, femdom, Female-Led Relationships, and all things kink from my readers.
(Translation) Are there any free, financially independent women looking for a genuine BDSM relationship, with a submissive for a live-in relationship? (English below)
(Translation) Yes, I’m one of them. When I hear this question phrased like that, I always wonder where it comes from. When a submissive talks about looking for a “financially independent woman,” it can be read two ways: either he’s looking for a domme in circles where pay to play is common, or he’s fantasizing about being a stay-at-home slave/submissive while the woman works.
Let’s start with the second one, which is simpler to explain but harder to make happen. Between gender norms and the fact that today’s economy doesn’t lend itself well to a model where one person works while the other stays home, this kind of arrangement is rare. If that’s really the relationship you want, it’s something to bring up very early on with your partner. Some women will be receptive, but for most people it’ll be a dealbreaker.
As for the first one: if you’re looking for a domme on platforms like FetLife, where pro-dommes are plentiful, or on networks like Twitter and Reddit, where the overwhelming majority of profiles are about paid domination and findom, you’re in the wrong place. And when you think about it, that makes sense because these women are there to promote their businesses. Approaching them hoping for a romantic relationship or a life together is like going to the online strip club to look for love.
For a genuine live-in BDSM relationship, you have to look where people normally meet. In fact, I’ve written articles on how to write a profile on Feeld and how to find a domme online. Rather than looking for a “dominant woman,” I’d advise you to first look for someone you’re broadly compatible with, and then see whether that compatibility carries into the bedroom.
And be honest with yourself about your expectations: if you want the stereotypical live-in slave experience, available 24/7, you’ll probably have to pay for sessions. I doubt even a pro-domme would want that kind of relationship once she’s “off duty.” On the other hand, if you’re willing to be patient with someone less experienced but genuinely drawn to femdom, you’ll have much more success, and probably a much deeper relationship.
Are public exhibitionism and consent incompatible? I (male) want to dress slutty and feminine in public. No nudity, but pink fabrics, defined glutes and maybe a small bulge can be seen. I don’t want to offend others or violate their consent. Under what conditions or circumstances is a male dressing slutty ok?
