I'm Looking for People to Interview!

Hi! A bit off the parenting beat today….. I’m swimming in deadlines right now for three different stories, and I am hoping you can help.

If you fit into one of the below three categories and would be willing to talk to me, please let me know, either by commenting below, sending me a Substack message, or emailing me at melindawmoyer at gmail.

These interviews would be on the record, using your full name, unless otherwise noted. Thank you!!

I’m looking for:

1. People who have become intensely romantically infatuated with someone and experienced deep longing, obsessive and intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, and a really strong desire for emotional reciprocation. (Also known as limerence.) For this story, I can just use your first name rather than your full name.

2. People who have been “love-bombed.” This term can be used in a various ways; I’m specifically looking to talk to someone who dated a person who did at least some of these things:

   • Gave you over the top compliments. Not just “I think you’re really special,” but something like, “I have never met anyone like you. I think you’re special in a way that no one else has seen.”

   • Got in touch (texts, calls) very frequently.

   • Made grandiose gestures — bought gifts, flowers, etc or offered to help a lot.

   • Implied early on (within weeks) that the relationship can/should be permanent or long term, or pressured for commitment. They may have talked about wanting to spend their life with you or said you were their soulmate.

   • Eventually became controlling or abusive in some way. (This is not a requirement — if you got out of the relationship early, you may never have seen this behavior!)

3. People who have experienced chronic or permanent adverse effects after taking a cancer immunotherapy (Keytruda, Opdivo, Libtayo, Tecentriq. Imfinzi, Bavencio, Yervoy, Imjudo).
