Megan Sommers · At the Table with Megan

When the mass of sales break out, I try and stick to just buying things we need or maybe has been on my wish list for a while. Here’s a quick breakdown of things I’ve bought on sale this week:

Messy Eater spray because I have a toddler that wipes her nose, mouth, and hands all over me and I spend a lot of time getting out stains! And this blow dry brush because mine decided to die this week.

I’ve been eyeing this Therabody Depuffing tool for a while now and finally bought it.

I have gotten myself back into a groove lately and am doing lots of Melissa Wood Health workouts with my bala bangles. 25% off!

Snagging the pair of Levi’s also shared below in the outfits part of Setting the Table.

And lastly, grabbing a few items for the table. These bamboo folding chairs and Serena and Lily Asheville vase (appropriately named!).

The new Virginia striped tablecloth is on the table with blue enamelware tumblers. The Shake Shack burgers are coming off the grill. The avocado salad is already on the table. The beers are cold. Texas sheet cake is waiting on the counter inside.

An outdoor burger table at the end of a summer day is one of the simplest and most satisfying tables in this series. Nobody is trying hard. Everyone is happy.

The Table

• Virginia Green Striped Tablecloth (rectangle and round)

White dinner plates

Bamboo flatware

Blue short floral enamelware tumblers

Blue poppy enamelware pitcher

Asheville vase (shared above too - on sale now!)

The Menu

Ina Garten’s onion dip with chips

Fake Shake Shack burgers with all the toppings

• French fries

Avocado salad

• Cold beer to drink

Sheet cake to finish

The Outfit

First option: white t-shirt, Levi’s, and slip on sandals. The end of a beach day outfit that still looks pulled together at a beautiful table.

Second option: matching top and shorts with sneakers. Easy and effortless and the kind of thing you grab when you walk in from the beach and want to feel like yourself again.
