How do you describe a month that was, at once, a monastery and a hacker house, a tree ordination and a Lovable workshop, a series of Thai massages and a Pikachu card rubbed for luck? MonasteryX resists easy description. Twenty people from around the world arrived as near strangers, taking the leap into a container that Luca Del Deo and I dreamed into reality. Yet with all of our hours of plannings, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp calls, MonasteryX wasn’t a living entity until all 20 of our mystics, thinkers, and builders joined us. The entity was a co-creation. Like all of the best things, it doesn’t want to be put into words, so I tried to outsmart the system and put it in pictures instead.
