I Didn’t Need Another Diet. I Needed Food I Could Actually Live With.

First, Let Me Make Something Very Clear.

Before I go on with this story, I need to say three important things:

  • I’m not a doctor.

  • This isn’t medical advice.

  • I’m simply sharing what happened to me.

But I have incredible news that I have to share with you. This month I brought my blood pressure down to normal, and under my doctor’s direction, I no longer need my blood pressure medication.

Incredible?

You bet your sweet potato it is.

And, yes, you just read that correctly. Today, I am taking zero medications at 69 years of age.

Zero.

Nada.

Nothing.

And I can’t fully describe how incredible I feel right now. I’m sleeping soundly through the night and have more energy than ever.

Here are my blood pressure readings for the last 3 days:

Saturday, August 15: 107/74

Sunday, August 16: 105/77

Monday, August 17: 105/73

My doctor’s parting words to me at my last checkup, “Gary, whatever it is you’re doing, keep doing it.”

But again, this is my experience. I’m not telling you that what worked for me will work for you. If you’re taking blood pressure medication, don’t stop or change it because of my story.

Talk with your own doctor first.

He’ll probably tell you I’m a lunatic, and maybe I am, but that’s another story for another day.

I’m sharing this because the way I’ve been eating has changed dramatically, and something unexpected happened along the way.

I finally found a way of eating that I can actually live with.

This month I’ve gotten serious about cutting sugar completely.

And I mean completely. No sugar in the house at all.

No soda.

No cookies.

None of that sweet stuff.

I’ve also dramatically reduced carbohydrates and moved more toward keto and, on some days, a carnivore-style way of eating.

Higher protein and less carbs.

Some days it’s pretty simple.

Red meat (steaks and 80/20 ground hamburger) served basting in lots and lots of real butter.

Bacon.

Eggs.

Whole milk. (no more fat-free or 2%)

Hard cheeses.

Whole milk yogurt. (no more nonfat)

Heavy cream.

That’s about it.

And here’s the funny thing.

I don’t feel like I’m starving myself.

Quite the opposite.

I can sit down with a ribeye covered in butter and be perfectly happy. I can eat eggs. I can fill up on cheese. I can make Alfredo sauce with real heavy cream and real butter.

These aren’t foods that make me feel like I’m being punished because I’m “on a diet.”

They’re foods I actually enjoy.

Because they just taste good and fill you up like nothing else.

And that’s made a huge difference for me.

That might sound like a small thing.

For me, it isn’t.

One of the hardest parts of changing the way you eat can be getting through the evening. You’ve eaten dinner, the kitchen is cleaned up, and then a couple of hours later you’re standing there thinking about what you can find to eat.

I’ve had those nights.

But lately, when I’m eating meals built around the kinds of foods I’ve been choosing, I can finish dinner and feel satisfied.

I’m not standing in the kitchen at 10 o’clock looking for something else.

I’m not thinking about what I can grab from the pantry.

I’m not going to bed feeling like I’m hungry.

And that made me realize something important.

I didn’t need another diet. I needed food I could actually live with.

It’s one thing to decide you’re going to change the way you eat.

It’s another thing to figure out what you’re actually going to cook tonight.

That’s where most people run into trouble.

You get home tired. You’re hungry. You’ve got work to finish, a family to take care of, dishes in the sink and a dozen other things competing for your attention.

You know what you probably should eat.

But knowing what you should eat and actually getting it on the table are two completely different things.

That’s the problem I’ve been trying to solve with Meals-n-Minutes for years.

I don’t want to spend my life in the kitchen.

I don’t want to spend an hour chopping, stirring and cleaning up just to eat dinner.

I want to eat real food.

I want it to taste good.

And I want it on the table fast.

The SuperFast Planner grew out of that exact idea.

It started with simple meals I was making for myself right after my divorce.

A skillet.

Some butter.

A steak.

A few simple ingredients.

Something hot and satisfying without spending half the evening cooking.

Over time, that idea grew into a practical meal-planning system with fast recipes, meal plans, shopping lists and strategies designed around saving time.

And yes, I’ve included keto-friendly options because that’s part of the way I’ve been cooking and eating.

But I don’t want you to misunderstand what I’m offering.

I’m not handing you the Planner and saying, “Do exactly what Gary did.”

That’s not what this is about.

I’m saying that if you’ve decided you want to eat differently, you need practical food you can actually make.

That’s what the SuperFast Planner is designed to help with.

So, what is the SuperFast Planner?

It is a 100-page PDF with 30 superfast recipes, 7-day meal plan, complete shopping list and tips and hacks for healthy quick meals you get on the table in 20 minutes or less. I guarantee it will save you 5 hours in the kitchen this week or your money back.

I’ve spent a lot of years thinking about the relationship between convenience and good food.

For a long time, it seemed like we had two choices.

Either spend forever in the kitchen making everything from scratch (the way Mama always did), or grab something processed because you’re too busy to cook.

I never believed those were the only two choices.

That was the idea behind SuperFast from the beginning. Make simple food without sacrificing flavor or spending hours in the kitchen.

You can make a steak quickly.

You can make eggs quickly.

You can make a simple skillet meal quickly.

You can sit down to a real dinner without turning your kitchen into a restaurant.

And sometimes, simple really is better.

The SuperFast Planner solves a specific problem.

It’s for those ordinary Tuesday nights when you’re tired and hungry and you don’t want to spend an hour figuring out dinner.

Now forget about my kitchen for a minute.

Think about yours.

Imagine coming home after a long day and actually knowing what you’re going to make for dinner.

Maybe you’ve got a steak waiting in the refrigerator.

Maybe you’re making eggs and something simple on the side.

Maybe you’ve got everything you need because you already planned the week.

The skillet gets hot. The butter hits the pan. The kitchen starts smelling like dinner.

And twenty minutes later, you’re sitting down to something you actually wanted to eat.

No complicated recipe.

No pile of strange ingredients.

No standing over the stove for two hours.

Just real food made simply.

That’s the kind of cooking I’ve been chasing for a long time.

My health story is my story.

I’m not asking you to copy it.

I’m not telling you what diet to follow.

I’m not telling you what medication to take or stop taking.

That’s between you and your doctor.

What I am saying is that I’ve discovered something that has made a huge difference in my own kitchen.

I can eat food I enjoy, feel satisfied and get dinner on the table without spending my whole evening cooking.

And if you’ve been looking for a way to make your own meals faster and simpler, that’s why I created the SuperFast Planner.

That idea started decades ago with a skillet steak that changed how I thought about cooking, and it’s the same idea behind everything in the Planner today.
