Hello, sweet angels!
Well, Actually is out in the world (of course this newsletter is late on that hehe oops) and the past four days of have been such a joyous whirlwind. I’m on my way to New York for the last stop of this wild week, where I’ll be talking with the loml Katie Holt at The Strand Bookstore, and I hope you can join us!
In other truly thrilling news: I met a bookstore cat last night and he is my best boy
I’ve said this before, but one of my favorite parts of this career is getting to go on tour and connect with readers and meet booksellers. I had the immense privilege of visiting Seattle for this first time (thank you Third Place Books and Alison Cochrun for hosting me!) and as I was exploring the city, it hit me square in the chest how lucky I am to get to see new pockets of the world in this way. And, truly, that’s all thanks to you, my lovely readers. It does not for a second escape me that these opportunities I receive are almost entirely because of the tremendous support and love from readers, booksellers, and librarians. I will never be able to put into words how thankful I am for every moment of this topsy-turvy journey.
And thank you for everyone that took the time to join me at a tour stop so far! I have had the time of my life talking about PT Cruisers and disgusting hot dog water with you (I apologize for my lack of media training). If you’ve picked up a copy of Well, Actually (forehead kisses for you!!!) it would mean a lot to me if you’d write a review on retailer websites. Good, bad, or indifferent, I promise not to read, but it does help the algorithm deities get my book to its ideal readers.
