Updated Class Schedule and Info!

Hello, all!

Before I do anything else, I want to say WELCOME to the many new folks who have signed up for this newsletter. Thank you so much for your presence on this page and, hopefully, in the comments, via email, etc.

My name is Mary McCampbell, and I currently live in Chattanooga, TN. I have taught Literature and Humanities (film, philosophy, theory, pop culture) in higher education for over 20 years at various institutions, including Calvin University (Visiting Prof of English), Lee University (Associate Prof of Humanities). I was the Summer 2014 Writer-in-Residence at L’Abri Fellowship in Greatham, England (pictured above!) and a 2018 Scholar-in-Residence at Regent Theological College in Vancouver, Canada. I write here about the relationship between the arts (especially literature and film) and spiritual formation. Pretty soon, I want to start posting some of my own creative writing! Watch this space!

I announced last week that I am going to teach an 8-week Zoom course on The Christian Imagination (we will discuss Graham Greene, Flannery O’Connor, C.S. Lewis, Sho Baraka, and many others!).

Meeting Dates: Thursday, July 9 until Thursday, August 27

Meeting Times: Thursday from 7 pm- 8:30 pm ET on Zoom
