Monthly Reading Room
If your inbox is full of articles you saved to “read later” but never got around to reading, you’re not alone. We all do it.
To help you stay caught up, I’m offering a free monthly digest. At the end of each month, you’ll receive a curated summary of that month’s articles, so you can quickly catch up on anything you missed.
You’ll find each monthly digest in the Reading Room on the website menu.

Dear Reader,
Happy 250th Birthday, America! I hope you have a lovely weekend celebrating our country, and if you’re outside the US, I'm sending warm greetings your way. I’m personally looking forward to the many fireworks displays and watching the spectacular parade of tall ships sailing into New York Harbor.
July 4th is a celebration of America's freedom and of the enduring principles of self-governance and personal agency. Freedom is not merely a political idea. It is the very condition that allows me to write these words and you to read them.
Lately I’ve been reflecting on the idea of freedom, specifically the quiet kind we can claim in our own bodies. The freedom to rest when we need it. The freedom to set boundaries. The freedom to tend to our health in ways that feel true to us rather than reactive, fear-driven or mandated.
Choosing to practice this kind of self-governance is how we protect our energy, guard our peace, and expand our capacity to heal. Valuing this personal health sovereignty is not a naive belief; it is the ultimate ideal, giving you power, authority, and independence. And it is one worth upholding every single day.
Thank you for reading, for being here, and for supporting this work.
With gratitude,
Mary Ann Rollano
