Last minute I remembered I had to go get my lottery cash and submit for more after the results of this evening. As I left I noticed a fellow standing outside my window staring at the girls. Next to him was a bottle on my window sill which I stopped to pick up and throw in the recycling. He didn’t notice me at all, just firmly focused on the girls across the road. I threw the bottle away and went into the ‘Tabacaria’ with my tickets. The cafe across the square has been closing early for a few daze but now they are back to normal hours so I took the opportunity on another nice day to get a coffee and a sandwich and either read my book or watch the world go by - it was the latter. The man who had been standing outside my window appeared on the square. He stood there for a moment and then he crossed himself and held his open palms in front of him - he was obviously talking to his god. He stood for a while longer and did the same thing again - it seemed like he might be asking for forgiveness for what he might be about to do. He then disappeared back into my street. I finished my coffee and left. As I came to The Archive, he was there again staring across the road. I let myself in and almost went and sat on the deck to see what he did, but I didn’t.
