Since launching Reading Room in April, we’ve hosted thousands of creatives in our space for shoots, screenings, and performances. This next one is near and dear to our heart.
This Wednesday July 22, we’re producing our first live episode of Nobody Knows, a new variety show starring Pedro Salinas (HBO), Raanan Hershberg (The Tonight Show), Courtney Maginnis (HBO), Daniel Kolitz (Harper's), and Talib Babb (New Yorker). Plus live jazz from John Kasper and friends.
Pedro Salinas is one of the top rising comedians in New York City, a performer at the Comedy Cellar and long-time friend of collaborator of two of the biggest comedians in the world right now in Matt McCusker and Shane Gillis.
Daniel Kolitz won the 2026 National Magazine for Feature Writing with The Goon Squad, a riveting deep dive into the exorbitant tales of modern male perversion. To celebrate his expertise, we’ll have a panel discussion on male loneliness, followed by conversations around AI and climate change with Courtney and Talib.
Our headliner, Raanan Hershberg, is best known for his appearances on The Tonight Show, and frequent openings for the ‘goon’ king himself Louis CK.
Talib Babb is a creative writer for ESPN and long time producer and writer on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Courtney Maginnis is a Lower East Side legend and prolific comic around New York City, with prior appearances on HBO and Comedy Central.
