“All you can take with you is that which you’ve given away.”
The most profound truths are the simplest truths, dontcha know.
I try to live my life according to this mantra.
The older I get, the less I want, the less I need, the more I want to let go. Less stuff, less baggage, less worry. I’m an imperfect human in an imperfect world doing my best every day to love unconditionally and live mindfully. Some days are better than others.
Today I am grateful for you, friend. I’m grateful for your willingness to take this weird tangential and ever shifting journey with me. For your patience, your kindness, your encouragement, for your presence. The best gifts in life aren’t things.
You’re the gift and I treasure you.
