Am I Using AI? Only One Way to Find Out!

Earlier this week, Substack made the popular decision to give readers the chance to scan posts for AI content. I fully support this option because we all know AI detectors are extremely reliable, and they are practically impossible to trick.

I just wish we had this option sooner, back when all of those heartwarming notes about hanging out in the library or the structural integrity of bags were floating around on Substack Notes.

Honestly, I don’t have any ill feelings toward AI.

This amazing technology has only blasted my writing career back into the Stone Age. And don’t even get me started on the delusional people who act like AI is going to make everything easier and we won’t have to work unless we want to do it.

I really wish I had whatever they are smoking.

On the bright side, Clyde wouldn’t be here without AI. So, I guess it’s not all bad.

Seriously, I’m not a bitter person, and I’m not going to judge you for using AI. I also don’t need an AI detector because quite a few of you are really bad at editing AI writing.

Don’t worry, I will never say anything because I don’t need any drama. I get plenty of that from a 15-pound cat who thinks she owns my soul.

I do use AI to check my questionable grammar skills. Of course, it’s extremely inconsistent, and it often misses basic mistakes. I guess I should really go back to Grammarly, but that would cost more money than I actually make from writing on Substack or Medium.

Speaking of Medium, I hope to one day join the elusive Editor Partner Program. I can finally see the earnings for my publication, and they actually look kinda sorta promising. Well, maybe. I’m also a Dallas Cowboys fan, and I’m very familiar with disappointment.

At least Tony Romo seems to be doing really well these days. (I’m just joking. Romo will always be my QB.)

Anyway, I’m boring myself, and it’s time to wrap up this masterpiece.

By the way, I just scanned my writing, and it’s apparently fully human. Woohoo!
