Manny Manster · Manny Manster

Dear Party People,

It’s Harmony again, how are you?

Manster is drowning in post Whole Festival recovery, and back on the application wagon! We are looking for work opportunities in 2027 so that we can make our show happen for 2028. If you are new here, welcome, I am Harmony, Manster’s co-pilot, a friend from another time taking over his newsletters for the next few months, thanks for reading!

We will be working on further developing four performances throughout the next 6 months, during focused periods at various Belgian institutions. See dates below for the first couple of places where you will be able to catch some test performances by yours truly and Manny Manster in 2027. The performances will come together to outline the introduction to his novel, SHARE. Again, if you are new here, check out the project page on his website: SHARE, he’s a huge nerd, and likes to keep his website plump with information.

In August we are taking a break (this means no newsletter), however, coming back at the end, in FULL FORCE, for a residency with Workspace Brussels at Kaaistudios. There we will be working on the performances, their texts, production needs, and eventual collaborations for a future production. Do reach out if the project interests you, we are looking for sound and light artists/technicians, actors, and performers for very specific roles.

Manster has been busy getting in contact with artists he is inspired by and want to work with. In September, he is invited to be a guest for Samuel Baidoo’s Plum Road Tea Dream performance. Samuel’s process is reminiscent of Manster’s in that their artistic outputs are catalysts for dialogue between artists and audience.

In the end, from what I understand of Manster’s work as an artist, all he wants is to have meaningful discussions with people he likes. Remember me ranting about how much Manster hates people? Well this is not entirely true, I’ve come to understand, he is very selective in who he engages in deep conversations with, and it seems, dear reader, that YOU are among the lucky ones. If you had not peaked his interest, or vice versa, there would be no newsletter coming to you.

on that note, I’ve said enough.

Loads of love,

Harmony (and Manster)
