I’ve been noticing I’m a high-low kind of girl. Not just when it comes to fashion, but the way I live my life.
I love traveling, but nothing beats coming home. I’ll fly to LA for my Botox girl, then happily make coffee at home the very next morning. I’ll splurge on a piece I’ll have forever, then get excited about a $20 tank.
For a long time, I felt like I had to pick one version of myself. The girl who appreciates luxury or the girl who wants to find a deal. The one who’s always traveling or the one who’s happiest at home.
Now I’ve realized…I don’t actually want to choose. I think balance is about finding your version of both.
The older I get, the less I care about whether something is expensive, trendy, or what everyone else is buying. I just want my life to feel like mine.
So now, whenever I’m deciding what to buy, how to decorate, or even where to spend my time, I come back to one question: Does this actually feel like ME?
Honestly...it’s become a really good compass.
On My Mind
Last week's post was all about my homebody summer, and apparently I'm not over it because I've still been fully embracing it before we leave for a big trip soon.
One thing I’ve noticed about being home more is how much more attention I pay to the little things. The coffee I make every morning. Rearranging shelves for no reason. Finding a new spot for something I’ve had forever. Even something as simple as walking the dogs twice a day.
It might sound cheesy, but slowing down has made me notice that creating a life you love isn’t really about the big moments. It’s about filling your everyday with little things that make you happy.
That That Feel So Me Right Now
Bouncy blowouts
I think I’ve finally found my signature hair. The length, the cut, the way I like to style it...it finally feels like me. I've been doing almost all of my own blowouts lately, which I'm beyond proud of. If I do go in, I ask for a casual blowout with pin curls.
My current hair line-up:
Heat protectant spray - before every blowout! I also like this one.
Hair oil - an OG product for my ends. I like this one on dry hair.
Sleek stick for flyaways and buns/ponytails
Overnight serum - sooo good for damage. You don’t need much!
2 lip combos
I've basically been wearing two lip combos on repeat:
This lip tint which is the perfect shade. More for evenings or all day wear.
Summer Fridays lip liner and Kosas blush + lip color stick (the ultimate summer beauty MVP). I’ve been doing this for casual day looks.
Collected, not perfect
I don’t want my house to feel perfectly designed, I want it to feel lived in. I’ve been organizing, moving things around, adding little feminine touches, and slowly making our home feel more collected.
I love mixing antique finds with newer pieces. I love little personal touches, like our custom dog plates. I love pieces that have a story and have character. Those are the things that make a house memorable to me!
A few home faves lately:
My new coffee glasses - they’re genuinely so pretty. Here’s my at-home coffee recipe.
Our custom dog plates - I’m SO obsessed with this artist’s talent.
This scent of hand wash. I’ve ordered it 100x and always get compliments on it!
Antique bread boards from Grouse House Design. Etsy also has good options if you aren’t local to Vegas.
Masks
Your girl is a FAN of the LED mask and it’s another thing in my routine now. I’ve been consistent and I’m already noticing a difference. My esthetician swore by this brand so that’s what I’ve been wearing, almost daily.
I’ve also been working this detox mask into my routine because my skin has been tweakin. It’s great for clearing things up!
Vanilla scents
I switch up my scent almost daily but I’m fixated on Dossier’s vanilla scents ATM. This one is my favorite. I’m such a fan of this brand and the price point!
437 activewear
I have a closet full of workout clothes, and somehow I always end up reaching for 437.
They’re just one of those brands that feels like me. Comfortable, flattering, and easy. The kind of pieces I don’t have to think twice about grabbing.
Here are the 437 fits I’ve been livin’ in:
I guess that's what I've been learning lately...the things that make your life feel like you are usually the little things.
Before you go, you’ll have to tell me…what makes you feel like you? A song, a product, a scent, a place? I’d love to hear! Hope you have a fab weekend!
