This Mercury Retrograde has been insanely wild for me & it is STILL in effect for a couple of more days. I’ve never been this atuned to astrology, but when I tell you the cazimi was caziming, I don’t recognize myself. BUT, I am now a FIRM BELIEVER. I’m talking weird synchronicities, angel numbers at every single turn, and finally understanding what people actually mean when they talk about “quantum leaps.” Never imagined I would be this into astrology and quantum physics, but here we are. It has also been widely recognized that moguls and millionaires use astrology, so what is stopping you or me?
If you aren’t currently in an ascension season, let me encourage you to hunker down and trust the process (as hard as that can be). There are always silver linings, and if you can learn the lessons, they will stick. Unpacking why we do what we do, spotting our own patterns, and appreciating what each heartbreak of adulthood is meant to teach us, is everything. Find out how the planets are affecting your sign(s) here. When I say SIGNS, yes, I am in LA, so we don’t just go off of your “sun sign” (the sign pop astrology has taught you to say when people ask your sign.) We go off your sun, moon AND rising which is based on your time & date of birth. Find yours here.
Anyways, it isn’t like it’s been all sunshine and good vibes this year… I’ve spent the last six months sitting in what my new mentor and friend, Jillian Michaels, calls the “hallway.” You know that weird, liminal space between where you were and where you’re going? Maybe you’ve heard hard times waxed on about as a valley or a desert. For me, that hallway felt more like a dark tunnel. It’s been challenging and LONG, but I can finally see that teeny-tiny pinprick of light at the end. Actually, when I really analyze how I feel in my mind and body today, it looks really big and bright. (ICYMI: catch up on my current status as a transitional millennial in her reinvention era here.)
Naturally, in the middle of all this cosmic shifting, pop culture has handed me several mirrors. From The Hunting Wives to Euphoria, to The Summer I Turned Pretty, and even Emily In Paris, millennial women are writing for TV and I am FEELING it. Maybe the body diversity is lacking, but the universal experiences I’m seeing reflected back to me for the first time ever are GIVING ME LIFE. Does anyone else feel seen in media now more than ever? Like you’re finally understood in that special way Sex and the City and GIRLS resonated?
