Summer is here on the Mama Love Collective porch!
We love this time of year. The weather is warm enough for porch meetings with a natural soundtrack of birds chirping and lush green trees and flowers all around.
Quick programming notes: a new Mamas Circle and Mamas Circle for Newly 2nd & 3rd time moms start this week (please share if your networks if you can!). And we have just one space left in our summer session of Motherhood: Redefined. Come be in community.
Haven’t been to the porch? Check out a short reel here:
The porch is one of my favorite places of summer, and a reminder of how I like to plan for the three months ahead: leading with how I want to FEEL.
Here’s a quick exercise:
Close your eyes and imagine what you want to hear, see, feel, taste, and touch this summer. Nothing is off-limits. No idea too wild.
When we did this exercise last year in Motherhood: Redefined some of these visions included our children as we built sandcastles together at the beach or overheard laughter as they darted in and out of a backyard sprinkler. We also envisioned spending time with friends, fresh farmers market produce, a day wandering a museum alone, floating in a starfish position, and taking a pottery class. A relaxing swim in a lake. More reading. Hiking to the top of a mountain.
From there, we took a moment to recognize the feeing in our bodies that these activities would bring: calm, ease, anticipation, creativity, joy, good exhaustion, and so much more.
The final, and perhaps most important, step is answering the question, “what people and practices will support us in creating this magic for ourselves?”

How to make magic ✨

June 4, 2024
We are the magic makers. We plan the adventures where our kids end the day covered in sand, faces sticky with watermelon juice. We take them for walks at dusk to watch the fireflies light up their eyes with wonder. We buy special toys to keep them entertained in airplanes and on roadtrips to create memories with grandparents, cousins, and friends. We ta…
We’d love to see you this summer at our Community Care Volunteer Event and Mamas Circle’s 10th birthday party — it’s less than a month away! We’ll be gathering on Saturday, June 13 from 9-10am at the Happy Little Art Studio outdoor studio/playground space to celebrate and give back to our community.
This summer we’ll also be hosting Pregnancy Circles and Mamas Circles help you build your communities as you welcome new babies into the world. See what’s coming up below.
Circles Start May 21 & July 16
New Mamas Circles and our special Mamas Circle for newly 2nd & 3rd time moms start throughout the year. In these open, supportive communities for moms and pre-crawling babies, we talk about changing identities, relationships, and how to get through the day (and night) with little ones. A place to know you’re not in this alone.

We know you feel overwhelmed. No matter how much you do, it doesn’t feel like enough. You and your burnout are invisible to the world, where there’s too much judgement and not enough connection. Let’s change that. In this community we value interdependence over independence. Join us to redefine motherhood for yourself and your family in a welcoming and inclusive space. We will be real, creative, and messy as we gather to explore what motherhood means to us.

Circle starts June 22
Our Pregnancy Circle is full of support and sharing, guidance around preparing for birth and postpartum, self-inquiry practices and journaling pages for deeper reflection, and more. This circle will offer consistent, experienced support during time of uncertainty and constant change.
Ongoing on Fridays at noon
Baby and Me Yoga combines postpartum strength-building exercises and breath-based relaxation for adults as well as gentle movement for babies. In this one-hour class, you’ll get the chance to bond with your baby, move, stretch, build strength, and connect with fellow new parents. Mothers, fathers, caregivers, and babies all welcome. Classes are designed for babies 6 weeks to pre-crawling. Postpartum parents are welcome to attend without their babies.
We offer all of our circles and groups on a sliding scale, and have a robust scholarship program. If you’d like to attend and have financial constraints, please reach out and we’ll find a way. We also accept contributions to our scholarship program here.
If this community has supported you, we’d so appreciate you sharing upcoming circles to your friends and neighbors and leaving a review on Google or Yelp.
