Good evening my loves,
We landed this morning back from a week in Florida with family, both working from there and then taking 2 days off to fully disconnect. I think there is little that I love more than my freedom, to be fully able to choose where and when to go and what to do with my time.
I’m also so grateful, that I can lock in from anywhere. Here I am in this IG reel, finishing up client notes from a Footlocker whilst my hubby tried on shoes.
This is the part about Entrepreneurship that I find magical (and sometimes also exhausting, I’ll come back to this…).
Although the weather wasn’t the best in Sarasota (where we celebrated my mother in law’s 70th birthday, the whole family together). We still went to the beach and I had a truly magical moment. We had barely put our things down that the boys ran to an area where they could play football and I ran into the Ocean.
The water was so warm, so salty, I floated slowly as waves came crashing on me. Deep gratitude was felt immediately. There’s something about water for me, it washes any worries or doubts away. I stood there thanking the ocean, thanking Sedna (the intuit Goddess of the sea), feeling my heart so very full. In between two waves, I saw two giant manatees come out and go back in. It was one of those moments, a tiny blink would have taken away.
“You saw that too right?” a teenager turned to look at me looking for reassurance that he hadn’t just imagined this.
“I did, they were two beautiful manatees.”
Just like that, blessed by mother nature. Reminded how connected we all are.
As we landed this morning and I felt pretty tired from all the celebrations, the travels, the world cup (I was so happy Spain won although very very devastated for the semis France lost against them), the amount of calls that await me tomorrow and Wednesday before we are off again, this time to spend time in France with my family.
The part of entrepreneurship that I continue to need to learn from and help others do the same, is taking care of myself and making all of this sustainable for me. I’ve been working on really exciting projects lately, onboarded some amazing new clients, growing my Unlock Your Vitality online community and writing my book (little by little).
So as I write this, I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off from writing this Substack. So that when I’m away (and actually offline this time) I can be fully away, completely recharge my batteries and come back with so much more to give (and maybe finish my manuscript?).
This is the reminder I needed, that the point of building a business was never to stay busy, it was to build a life that feels so aligned. Not to keep pushing because it feels productive. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is step away. I shared I’ve been thinking about a decision and turns out, I just need even more space to make it, so I’m going to give that to myself.
I will however be sharing my second excerpt from my book before I’m fully disconnected <3
Sending you so much love and see you in a few weeks,
Magali
