Book Excerpt #2: What Was Really Behind My Burnout

The response of my first book excerpt overwhelmed me with love and gratitude. That is the part of my story that almost stopped me from writing this book in the first place.

As I continue to work on this manuscript, I am continuing to heal and for that, I am so grateful. This is by far, the biggest personal project I’ve ever worked on.

What I didn’t know or have the words for at the time was that I was giving up my personal power and that it was about to have many other consequences.

I’m sure you’ve heard the word burnout so many times around you. Although it’s what I experienced, I want to be really clear about the way it happened. It’s complex and layered, and it’s taken me years to understand my responsibility in it.
