Four days until Gilded in Vengeance is out in the world! (Well, technically, in the U.S. and Canada; it hits shelves overseas on Jan 15th). It’s only just starting to hit me these past few days. I’m on deadline, so I’ve had my head down, working hard on revisions, but the excitement has been creeping up on me. Now, I’m so flippin’ excited, I can’t do anything but prep for next week.

So what is happening next week? Gilded’s launch party, along with two other tour stops!

Readers in New York and Connecticut, I’d love to see you next week! Here’s where you can find me:

• Tuesday, November 4th, 7pm: Huntington, NY

  • Gilded’s official launch party at The Next Chapter.

  • I’ll be in conversation with Emily J. Taylor, a friend, CP, and author I greatly admire.

  • We’ll have Gilded-themed macarons and champagne to celebrate

  • The bookstore counts a preordered book as an event ticket! You can preorder Gilded from them here; choose “pick up” instead of shipping.

• Friday, November 7th, 6pm: New York City

  • Joint release event with Susan Dennard, who is celebrating the final installment of her Witchland series, and Emily Taylor.

  • I’m so excited to nerd out about books with two YA authors I love.

• Saturday, November 8th, 12-2pm: Stamford, CT

  • Book signing at Barnes & Noble High Ridge

  • Grab a copy of Gilded in Vengeance or perhaps Revelle (or Emily’s critically acclaimed standalone fantasies, Hotel Magnifique and The Otherwhere Post) and have it signed!

Can’t buy more books right now? The preorder campaign includes library requests, so screenshot that, and I’ll count it as a preorder!

• What I’m reading: My break between deadlines was much shorter than anticipated, so I haven’t been able to read for pleasure in far too long, and I’m itching to do it! But first up is The Night King’s Court by Elisa A. Bonnin. It’s not out until next year, but Harper sent me an advanced copy, and I’m itching to dive right in.

• What I’m watching: Every Halloween, I always watch as many cozy spooky movies as I can, but I always watch Hocus Pocus and Casper (my absolute fav). Ask me why Casper works, and prepare yourself for a 20 minute oral essay on vibes and loneliness.

• What I’m listening to: I’m still obsessed with the Tooth & Claw podcast, y’all. I’m now an expert on marine and land mammals that can kill me.

• What I’m buying: I recently splurged on this thermal from Free People, and I can’t even count how many compliments I got on it. It’s so warm and fun, with sleeves that mimic hand warmers. (I went with the blue/combo, which looks slightly violet in person).
