Lucia Leyfield · The Ink Pad

(or access the recording from 18th April)

Session 1: Drawing from observation and memory. In this session we will working through a collection of short drawing exercises which combine looking and then remembering what you have seen! (it’s easier to remember with a pencil!) It works like magic to help you see and to help you draw, especially if you are a beginner. We will be doing a bit of ‘drawing brain reprogramming’ too… exciting stuff!!

Choose your own object to work from and be guided through the tasks. The session begins a gentle warm up, then our drawing exercises and, finally, a written journaling exercise to accompany your sketches.

This exploratory drawing session is designed to help you loosen up, build confidence, and develop your own unique line. It’s great to help you focus and find your own voice.

THANK YOU for inviting me to your Work-a-long yesterday! For me, it was so enjoyable listening to you talk about your creative life and art. In addition, I absolutely loved seeing the artwork created by the other ladies and listening to them discuss projects, books, meeting people, etc. This was like a ‘VISUAL PODCAST” where we worked along with you.~Karla

I just wanted to thank you for how you make your classes accessible for me. I’m disabled and on a low income so many course offerings are beyond my affordability. Thank you for your generosity I very much appreciate it. I just did the mini map making course. What fun! I have a brain injury so video is the only way I can learn and I find your teaching style clear and simple to follow. ~Angela
