We, perfume lovers, are very good at mourning what has been lost and we enjoy this discourse a lot :) But I'd like to reverse the question: what in your opinion does contemporary perfumery do better than the golden age? What can it express now that perfume fifty years ago couldn't?
P.S. On a much more serious note: my birthday is coming up. What perfume should I absolutely buy for myself? Please use your authority responsibly ;)
