The shaman prescribes the serpent’s flesh for its bite.
Look at lost safety and love. It slipped through your fingers as a child.
Accept fear, rage, doubt, and grief.
The old dog, grief, lying by the hearth, begging for a soft pat.
Many symptoms are repressed grief.
Fear, anger, addiction, compulsion, procrastination, spending, cheating, leaving, lying. Abandoning ourselves and others.
Grief has its fingerprints all over.
Don’t get lost in the past; stop asking why. No more blaming.
The grief beneath the symptoms is sitting in your lap.
No pain except the pain of yesterday, in you, today.
Do not look away. This is our glorious task.
The bounty of life is in the nagging hum of what we avoid in our hearts.
Let’s get digging.
Warmly,
Lucas
If you’re ready to heal the grief beneath the symptom, I’d be honored to help.
