Sneak peek: trailer for SWATHE, my directorial debut short

I know I said I was taking the month of August off to reset and focus on my writing projects, BUT, I wanted to quickly share something exciting with you!

On Wednesday night, writer/director/actor/editor/allaroundgreatguy Aaron Strand (who goes by Broke Sober and NonDē) had the Canadian premiere of his debut feature WITHDRAWAL and asked me to do the introduction.

What an incredible film. Here are my thoughts on it:

If you live in/near Memphis, Austin, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Durham NC, St. Albans WV or Tulsa, you’ll still have a chance to see it in theatres, as Aaron is in the middle of a self-organized, self-funded roadshow of the film. Check out the dates here.

Before the screening, Aaron generously offered me the opportunity to show the trailer for SWATHE, my own directorial debut short. So my editor quickly pulled a trailer I wasn’t even expecting to need until much later together and I screened it for 100ish people at a legendary Toronto cinema. What a dream!
