Trillium Flower Art Inspiration + Free Book Club Sneak Peek (Lesson 2)

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks sneak peek book club video and art inspiration from the Trillium flower!

This flower is inside the threeness section of my Drawing Botanical Blooms book and is a lovely introduction to drawing flowers.

The Trillium is a woodland wildflower, admired for its perfect symmetry. Emerging in early spring in forests, each plant produces a single flower that sits above three broad leaves. Its simple, balanced form has made it a symbol of harmony, purity, and the arrival of spring.

The trillium is a wonderful flower for studying radial symmetry, balanced composition, and the relationship between leaves and flowers in a single harmonious design.

Here are some of the trillium flowers I have drawn.

From Motif to Mandala

I love to take my flower drawings to then create Botanical Mandalas and other artworks. Below are two more designs I created using the Trillium as my inspiration.
