In this live webinar, hosted by Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF), we’ll speak with trial lawyer, independent journalist, and former MSNBC host Katie Phang. Last week, Phang won a victory in court mandating that the government start producing files related to the Epstein investigation that it’s kept hidden, or explain why it cannot.
We’ll discuss the case with Phang and her attorney, Public Integrity Project CEO Brendan Ballou, as well as FPF Daniel Ellsberg Chair on Government Secrecy Lauren Harper. They’ll talk about what they expect to happen next, what it means when journalists are willing to take the government to court, and government secrecy problems beyond Epstein.
