Hey there. I am the ghost of artists past.
It’s been two and a half years. And I really thought I was done with creating.
This week, I came back a little. I finally picked up a gluebook, and did a few pages. They’re posted on my I love gluebooks Instagram. And I picked up my sketchbook, and did a little doodle, and some painting. It’s on my art Instagram.
Nothing huge. Not great moments in art. But more than I’ve done since I dropped my paintbrush in 2023.
So yeah, I might be back.
Things have changed a bit. I closed up my paper doll shop, and all my AI accounts. And much as it hurt, I closed Ten Two Studios. It was time, but it was also 20 years of my life.
I started collecting perfume in the interim. I have a TikTok for that.
Things that are on my radar right now:
Mail clubs and print clubs. Anyone belong to one of these? Art has come full circle from going digital, and is now being mailed to people who want more than bills in their daily deliveries. I kinda love this idea of reclaiming the analog.
ACEOs were a trend that I ignored for a long time, assuming they’d die off, and artist trading cards would continue. Turns out, ACEOs are bigger than ever. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. I’m listening to artists on TikTok and Instagram about them at the moment.
