You know those moments when information coalesces from multiple sources touching on a common theme? I’ve been experiencing this acutely, as I’ve been contemplating self-sovereignty. I just finished reading an article about one of the world’s foremost experts on deepfakes and AI – a reality I find deeply unsettling – that confirmed my thinking: the only way forward in a world we can no longer trust, is to trust ourselves in ways we have yet to fully inhabit. I was reminded of Malcolm Gladwell’s book, Blink, in which he makes the case for, “ . . . a balance between deliberate and instinctive thinking.” If we can no longer trust our intellect alone to lead us through the land mines of misinformation and dishonesty, we must draw on the power of our intuition. This isn’t for the select few who happen to have strong intuition, this is a necessity for all of us to access, strengthen, and trust the ways our inner Self wants to inform us.
In my hand analysis work, the gift marker I encounter more than any other is the Star of Apollo. (I’ve written about this marker before in more depth, so you can read my full description via the link below, including how to assess if you’re a bearer.)
Apollo is the Greek and Roman mythological God of the Sun; he is the bearer of light and truth. In hand analysis, we use his archetype to describe those who shine their light – usually through creative means – into the world. But more specifically, this applies to anyone who inhabits their authentic Self and then operates from self-sovereignty. The reason I see this marker more often than others, likely relates to the disproportionate number of midlife women I read for, because this particular demographic is owning their sovereignty in ways many people never have before. They’re wise, outspoken, and powerful now, unapologetically not giving a f*ck what others think. This is the kind of energy that consolidates into an Apollo gift star and it’s the kind of energy I want to see in every hand I read!

This is the energy that turns our attention to ourselves, our identity. Now, the choice can be to turn our attention to the ego – the small, psychological self – or to focus our energy on consolidating Self-awareness and inner light – the authentic Self – in ways that strengthen our trust in our wisdom and shine it into the collective to expand consciousness in healthy ways.

AI is coming for our livelihood. The stars and planets are aligning. It feels like we’re speeding towards a reckoning with authenticity and the role it must play in shaping a new world. Except, what’s transpiring in our reality is really a gift, because it’s calling us home to our own hearts. Constant performance is exhausting. Trading Self truth for approval is painful. Inevitably, attention will turn inwards.
When attention is focused within, as the year ahead demands, we need intention as the source of our inner work. Getting still enough to be present. Surrendering enough to receive and understand. Listening attentively enough to strip away the veils of illusion that have formed in response to external indoctrination. Gentle enough to integrate the shadow, so we live from our inherent wholeness. Holding paradox in the face of polarity and responding with a both/and awareness as circumstances require. Practicing emotional intelligence so we move through difficult feelings, while maintaining our capacity to be engaged, rather than reactive. We’re owning our spiritual nature, so we see how we’re all an integral part of a collective human family that is intrinsically connected to the planet we inhabit. This is the work of the year ahead: the work of individual and collective transformation.
The things that AI can do, will never replace the unique qualities that are solely ours. I’m not talking about our particular way of knowing things, working, or being able to create, but rather the energetic signature attached to our specific endeavors. There is an aliveness to the energy we attach to what we uniquely offer the world, that machines will never be able to recreate. This is the ability to manifest Spirit in material form. This springs forth from our unique ways of embodying our authentic Self and moving through the world with sovereignty.
The tasks ahead can feel daunting, especially since the speed of our collective crises and AI’s growth make it feel as though the reckoning will outpace our transformation. The transformation however, can be immediate. Are you listening intently to the small, quiet, and loving voice in your own heart? Strong intuition is the most accurate assessment of authenticity. It can take courage to turn away from the cacophony of outside noise and trust what’s birthing within, but once the choice is made, courage will carry us forward. You already intuitively know this, because we were built with this understanding for this precise time of global transformation.
