Dear Friends and Freaks,
I will be taking a summer break from this weekly publication schedule, and from disciplined writing practice more generally.
I’ll be spending July working my day job remotely from kitchen tables of loved ones, and August settling back into Spokane. Expect to hear from me here and there, but maybe not every Saturday. In the meantime, I’ve linked a few greatest hits below.

“She’s one of those girls who loves David Bowie,” my best friend said, about her classmate in Tragic Relief at The Evergreen State College, in Olympia. “She has a tattoo of his name on her ankle, held up by two little elves, and she wears Adidas Sambas.” These were the taxonomies of those around us. It was 2002. We were 18. We were all stoners.
