When you feel abandoned

LETTERS FROM QURAN · LETTERS FROM QURAN

There are days when life feels unbearably heavy. Days when your dua seem to echo back in silence. Days when you wonder, “Has Allah forgotten me?”

The Quraan answers that question long before our hearts ever ask it.

He never abandoned His Prophets.

not when Nooḥ (AS) preached for centuries and was mocked by his own people.

not when Ibraahm (AS) was thrown into a blazing fire.

not when Yusuf (AS) was betrayed by his brothers, separated from his father, sold into slavery, and imprisoned despite his innocence.

not when Musa (AS) stood before the sea with an army closing in behind him.

not when Ayyub (AS) lost his health, his wealth, and those dearest to him.

not when Yunus (AS) found himself alone in the darkness of the whale.

and not even when our beloved Muḥammad ﷺ buried loved ones, faced rejection, endured persecution, and walked through years that tested his heart.

their stories were never signs of abandonment.

they were chapters of preparation.

Allah says:

“Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such trials have not yet come to you as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed with him said, ‘When is the help of Allah?’ Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.”

— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:214)

notice that Allah never promised a life without hardship.

He SWT promised that His help would come.

every trial carried hidden mercy.

the fire became cool.

the prison became a path to a palace.

the sea split.

the whale released its passenger.

health returned.

victory arrived.

revelation continued.

Allah’s timing has never been late.

if you find yourself waiting today, remember this:

Perhaps you are standing in the same place every Prophet once stood-a place where all visible doors are closed so that your heart learns to rely on the One whose doors never close.

your delay is not proof that Allah SWT has left you.

your tears are not evidence that He does not hear.

your unanswered dua is not forgotten.

Allah SWT sees every tear before it falls, hears every whispered prayer before it leaves your lips, and knows every hope you have buried inside your heart.

He SWT is writing a story for you too.

maybe one day you will look back at this season and realize it wasn’t the chapter where Allah SWT abandoned you.

it was the chapter where He SWT was preparing you for blessings you could never have imagined.

so hold on. keep making dua. keep trusting.

The Lord who rescued His Prophets has not changed.

🟡فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

🟡إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”
(Surah Ash-Sharḥ 94:5–6)

Your trial is not your ending….

it may just be the beginning of the reward Allah has been preparing all along.

may Allah grant us hearts that trust Him before we see the outcome, patience that remains beautiful through every test, and the certainty that His promise never fails. aameen.
